Custom roles mapped to 1 role

How do I have multiple custom roles that is based on 1 custom role?

For example:

I want custom roles Data Entry - California & Data Entry NY to be mapped to a custom role Data Entry ALL

and VP Mass and VP Texas to be mapped to VP ALL

When I change the permissions of VP ALL or Data Entry ALL, the corresponding child roles will automatically be changed as well.

    Hello,

    That's not possible using customization - you will have to develop some kind of synchronization that will do that for you.

    Hi Techrium,

    You cannot achieve your requirement by out of the box functionality. You can write custom code(As Andrew mentioned) to accomplish this. please see the link: community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-modify-access-privilege-in-security-role-through-c-code-wpf-application

    However, I would suggest making use of security roles for teams to achieve your requirements. for example, You can create a role with "Data Entry ALL" and assign this to two teams i.e. "Data Entry - California & Data Entry NY".
