Error Period must be selected in sales and marketing parameters when updating Financials but already filled in

Hi all,

Im trying to get the Turnover figure to show for a customer when selecting the 'Financials' button in the Sales Ledger Ribbon.

I click 'Update financials' blue link, and get an 'update financials box' with dates already populated from the Sales and Marketing Parameters, but when click ok, I get error saying 'period must be selected in the Sales and Marketing Parameters'.

I cannot see any other boxes relating to Periods or dates in those parameters other than those already populated on the first page.

I tried using the 'period code' box by setting up the period I wanted, but it still then it didn't populate the relevant dates when looking at the financials box, had to add them again, so no point using the period code, so I then removed that and just put dates in again.

Can anyone help?

thanks

AXFinance

    Hello AXFinance,

Please open the sales and marketing parameters and enter a period code in the general tab.

Then close all forms and open your customer financial form again.

If you select the right period you should be able to run the calculations and see the results.

Rather than using this form, I would prefer using a proper BI tool/report or an inquiry form.

The financial tab does not really contain much and rich information.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks Ludwig,

I agree the form is of little value, and we haven't used it before.  I actually just wanted to find a field that we could use to pull out into D365CRM.  After some fiddling around I did get the 'total invoiced' box populated, which is the correct turnover figure, although it didn't put anything in the Turnover box!

I will refer to our CRM consultants, there must be another way of doing this.

    thanks for your help,

    kind regards
