Contacts not visible for a specific user in a specific view but same contacts visible in other views?!

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Community,

as described in the subject line I ran into an issue where a user is not able to see any results for the contact entity in a specific view.

The same user is able to see these contacts records when using a different view.

Privileges should therefore not be the problem... i suppose...

The view that doesn´t return any results is filtered to show contacts that are registered for the customer service portal.

Any ideas why this is so?

    Hi Christopher,

You can make the user change another browser or privacy mode to try again.

If it remains so, you can create new view with the same setting and deactive or delete the original view.

    Hi Leah,

I should´ve been more specific. The view does return values for other users... with the same security privileges...

    To me that´s really strange...

    Thanks anyways.

    Hi Christopher,

You can check filter conditions of the view that the user can’t see any results.

Go Settings > Customization > Customize the system > Entities > Contacts > Views.

Open the view and click ‘Edit Filter Criteria’ to check conditions.
