Email notification issue after system upgrade

Hi,
we create purchase requisition workflow and submit it,and the user receive email notification without issue, but after the update to 10.0.5 with PU29 and later to 10.0.6 with PU30, all emails creation and notifications were stopped.
Email is created in the email sending status but with FAIL status for external users (Consultant outside our network)
Email is not created in the email sending status for internal users.
The same started at the same time, once we updated our UAT and Preprod environment.
Appreciate any support.

    Hello HighFive,

    I have not heard something similar so far. Yet, if things worked correctly before the upgrade to PU30 then I would recommend that you directly reach out to the MS support to clarify with them what might have been changed. I think that this is the fastest way to get this issue fixed.

    We have recently moved to 10.0.6 PU 30 and have the same issue.

    Since the update we have notice that a vast majority of our workflow emails have stopped being received by the users.

    Did you find the cause? And if so a solution?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Yes all batches have been running as required since update, i have been able to locate some possible fixes as per the below thread,

    community.dynamics.com/.../985261

    Will attempt to re apply SMTP settings through system administration tonight, and if required reapply the user settings.

    if you are aware of anything further we can look into that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Ash,

    For me refreshing the SMTP setting on user level solved this issue for one particular user.

    While MS provided this KB hotfix, when i installed it, the problem was solved for everyone else.
