Hi Everyone,

Good morning.

I want to request help for my question.

In Item Price form, as shown there are 2 record/line , my question is for record first line ( Price Type Cost )

the record is created and calculated automatic based on our cost price calculation setting  ?

is true purchase price being keyed-in by user, but for cost, its create and calculated automatically ?

Please help.

    Hi,

    Can you check your item and whether the parameters for the latest purchase price and the latest cost price are setup?

    If those parameters are setup then the cost price might be automatically entered.

    The cost price can of course also the result of a new cost calculation that has been made.

    However, if you are not aware of such a recent cost calculation, I would expect that the latest ... price parameters create those records.

    Hi benjamin84,

    If the version field is blank, the cost value is filled in automatically.(It's just a recording function, not be calculated.)

    If not, that will be the manually filled in.

    Well noted.

    I check at Product Information Management and Procurement parameter, but I don't find the set up.

    could you advice the location for those parameter.

    so its mean, if one of latest purchase price or the latest cost price is ticked, then its will automatically created right by system ?

    please advice.

    Hi benjamin84,

    Yes, system will record the last cost automatically.

    This's official description: "During the update, the Price field is populated either with the price for the last receipt from the inventory journal or with the price that is applied when you post negative reporting as finished for a BOM because a BOM line is returned to inventory. If this option is cleared, you must change the production cost manually."
