Hi,
AIF (http) services hosted on EG. IIS communicates wtih the AOS through net.tcp.
This is configured in via the "Configure AOS" button in the inbound ports form. For the "DefaultServiceGroupEndPoint" property the endpoint address often looks similar to "net.tcp://AOS_SERVICE_HOST/DynamicsAx/Services/EGIntBipSOAP". When deploying, the AOS_SERVICE_HOST is replaced with a value that relates to the AOS that you are deploying from/logged on to.
I am looking for a way to control which AOS the AIF service communicates with, without having to deploy from one specific AOS. Later on I would be interested in investigating if it is possible to have a load balancer receive requests from IIS.
I have tried to alter the value for the enpoint address manually, but it has no effect. In the config file that is being deployed to IIS, I can see that the net.tcp address doesn't match the value that I entered on the AX side.
Said in another way- I am looking for a way where my AIF (IIS hosted, http) service is not limited to communicating with one single AOS.
I hope it is clear what I am trying to achieve.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards Torben

I have the same question (0)In that case move away from using IIS. Our WCF service is just running on 2 AX AOS instances, and we are routing connections to both of them using their local static IP addresses with a Network Load Balancer. Works beautifully for any type of connections.
