[AX 2012 R3-WMS] SUGGEST LOCATION RETURNS BLANK LOCATION

Hi All,

I have a been encountering an issue on Put-away Process for Purchase Order despite following the instruction form WMS manual & other like-blogs & forums. The location is not automatically suggested by AX, neither the Suggest Location button does. Please see my setup here- http://1drv.ms/1GwWpeG.

Thank you.

    Hi Bella,

Great screenshots, that really helps us.

You have a Directive Code set on your Location Directive called 'Good'. Directive codes can be used to direct the work template line to use a specific Location Directive. However, you have no 'Directive code' set on the 'Put' work template line. Therefore, I imagine the work template is looking for a Location directive with no Directive code and not finding one.

Try either removing the Directive code from the Location directive, or setting Directive code 'Good' on the Work template line (the Put one).

For your 'user is in the wrong warehouse problem', there is a mobile device menu item (Mode = Indirect) called 'Change warehouse'. I've never used it, but I assume it allows to work in a warehouse which is not their default (provided they are 'Allowed' to work in more than one warehouse).

    Dear Bella,

I will suggest you to review all the setup.

I found some issues in your location profile. You have used the same location profile for RECV location in your warehouse receipt location and warehouse parameter staging location type.

You need to create location profile for RECV location and create a location with location profile and add it to warehouse as default receipt location.

Follow the  instruction form WMS manual properly

    Thanks.

    Hi Guy/Prashant,

Thank you for your replies. Apologies also for the messy setup. I started the testing using the Technet guide at first (using my own data) until I found the WMS case study, which provides me a better understanding.

But now :) I would really like to thank you! It's now resolved. The "Good" setup is actually in the Disposition Code. I removed it as Guy said. And its now working well.

    Thank you very much.

I don't see your lovation directive in the printscreen, but if on the header the diposition code is filled, try removing it and do the receiving again. For me that was the way to get it working.
