Discontinued purchased items appearing in planned orders

There are a few old purchased items with prior transaction that have been stopped in Default order settings for Purchased order, Inventory and Sales order. Some of them still appear on the planned orders list. What other changes should be made to make them fully discontinued?

Thanks

    Hi S3rg,

Try to add filters on the master planning job or remove coverage settings for these items.

For these items, set the Coverage group to one that has a 'Manual' coverage code. Or, stop creating demand for these items.

Change the coverage group to one with a coverage code of 'Manual'.

Using master planning filters will not work with how we track discontinued items. However, this is still a possible solution in some cases.

Changing the coverage group to the one that has a manual coverage code did the trick. Any other coverage group settings I should be worried about besides the coverage code?

"Any other coverage group settings I should be worried about besides the coverage code?"

I don't think so - I'm pretty sure that once you have set the Coverage code to manual the system's ignoring all other options. It might pay to manually delete any planned purchase order for the item though.
