sales prices in sales order updated from cost price in purchase order

Hi,

I sometimes have a charge for transportation for my purchase orders. This cost I add to the cost price of the item. So if I order something for 100 and have a freight charge of 5, my inventory value will be 105.

However, I can't manage to automatically update the sales price for this line. So in the example my sales price would still be 100 and I would make a loss of 5. I could manually add a charge, but I would prefer an automatic update to avoid user errors.

My process is too always create sales orders first and then create purchase orders from those. Then I post delivery note and invoice for the purchase and later delivery note and invoice for the sales order.

I already changed some settings in the item setup, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance

    Dear Ingmar Bickl,

In this case you need to update manually the sales price on item level. Coz you are moving in process from Sales to purchase.

But you have another option to use sales price model and you can fix you charges percentage if it is fixed.Try this it may help you.

You can find this in your item master --> Released Product --> Sale Tab

    Dear Prashant,

thanks for your answer! I was afraid I overlooked something, but it seems there simply is no way to update the prices directly. This is a bit counterintuitive since I would expect a direct link betweens a connected purchase line position and a sales line position.

The automatic application of charges with a sales price model won't work in this case, since the charges are always case-dependent. I guess I have to live with a certain amount of additional work.

We had to actually customize the application for this to happen due to very specific requirements since we use the project module/item requirements process to create sales orders and POs.

Another option I'd explore is the use of misc charges
