My requirement is that when i submit a Purchase order from a workflow i want to attach all the line details in the purchase order in the form of Table in email body. I am unable to do that since have tried making custom placeholders but couldn't succeed in it. can someone provide me with a detail steps that how can I achieve that. I want to know the exact class in which i have to write code to make custom placeholders that could be attached in the email body.

Why is that needed?
You can send the approver a link via the standard workflow functionalities that directly allows them navigating to the PO and reviewing the lines.
That requires a single click.
Another thing that makes me question this requirement is what are you doing in cases where you have more than 50 single lines? Do you want to show them all in the email? That might be a long email...
And not to forget, what elements do you want to include from the lines? You will certainly get a list of fields that shall be included but I bet that in 3 months time people want to see other / additional fields that require you making another system modification.

I do understand all the points you wrote and had a discussion with my client. But he needs this point in any case for higher managerial personnel.
Currently i want Item id, Item name, Quantity, unit price, unit, Net amount and total PO amount to be shown line wise designed in a table.
i have designed Email template accordingly but my placeholders are not working, that why i needed help in this very case, because i went through many blog none of them were much of help all had incomplete information.
