Sending only specific lines on a sales order

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am trying to figure out how to send only two out of the eleven lines on a sales order. The other products are not available yet, so we can only send out the two that are. I have tried to change the Quantity to Ship on the sales order, but the Sum of Element Quantity, Shipping Unit Quantity, Net Weight (kg), Net Weight (LB), as well as the price total did not update. We tried changing the other Quantity to Ship to zero and the ones that we needed to their proper amount, but when the order was dispatched, the other lines were still included on the dispatched order. Is there a way to only send specific lines on an order, or would we have to create a whole new sales order just for the items that are available to ship now?

On the sales order, you can select only 2 lines by use Qty. to ship on the selected 2 item lines that will be shipped, and make all the rest of items blank.

Then you can make an Invoice according to the 2 lines by going to the Sales Invoice lines and select Function>Get Receipt Lines, and then select the receipt of the 2 Line Items, at the end post the invoice with the 2 line items.

Hope this can help in this situation.

    Suresh,

Thank you for responding! Our company has the ESCM add-on by Yaveon incorporated into our Nav 2016, which is how we process our shipments. I am noticing that the changes that I make in the regular Nav 2016, is not reflecting in the ESCM portion of Nav. I am seeing the changes in the quantities on our sales order but they are not showing up on the ESCM portion.

Would you happen to have any experience with the ESCM add-on by Yaveon, because I feel that it is what is causing the issues?

    Thank you very much!

    Ashley H.

    Ashley,

If you use Qty. to Ship on the sales order then only those lines will ship but all lines on the order will appear on the shipment. The only lines which are shipped will have the quantity value.

You can filter the shipment report to filter only those lines with quantity greater then zero.

    Hi Ahmed,

I appreciate your response. Unfortunately, this didn't solve our problem. The sales orders are already created and ready to be dispatched, but not all of the products that are on the sales orders are available. I wanted to know if there was a way to select only 2 lines out of the eleven on an already made sales order to be dispatched.

The way I read your solution was that we need to enter the amount that are available to ship on the blanket sales order while we're making the blanket sales order. I wanted to know if it was possible to do it on a sales order that was already created.

    Thank you!

    Ashley H.

    Hi Ashley,

This feature can be available on Blanket Sales Order.

You can go to search option and type Blanket Sales order, fill in the header and put on the lines more than one Item.

Fill in the quantity to ship field only for the items that you need to create sales order, then press Make Order and track the sales order created, and you will achieve the result you want.

If this solution help you solve your question, promote this response as a verified answer.

    Thanks
