AX 2012 Enterprise Search help

Hi,

I've installed Enterprise Search and Portal on top of an existing AX 2012 environment and I can never get any search results to return, I either says no results or the search times out and says there was an error executing your search.  Upon checking the logs it says something like 'XML buffer exceeded the buffer quota set'  I've followed the official install guide several times now and have hit a brick wall!

I've set the correct permissions for crawl and admin account (well, actually gave more than the required!), updated the crawler permissions and published the queries and also published via in AX; Search > Search Configuration

I can see the AX and AX Meta Data crawls working fine and finding items in SharePoint without errors.  This could well be a system resource issue on the server but would appreciate if anyone knows of any quick wins for this or other areas I could check.

Thanks

    Hi,

Yes followed that several times, which is actually a snippet from the official install guide (all 100+ pages!)

After some more digging around it appeared that the initial full crawls hadn't actually completed in SharePoint - I think this is a requirement?

The crawls are running now again and after lots of stopping and starting and I've managed to get some default results such as 'Sales' and 'Contoso' but no company data as of yet - but I'm relying on the full crawls completing without error first!

Will keep you posted and thanks for the response :)
