External codes per company in AX 2012

Greetings,

In AX 2009, we have external codes defined per company. I see the ExtCodeTable and ExtCodeValueTable in the 2012 AOT but I don't where it is accessible from the interface.

 

Anyone can tell where this form is now available^

    Hi Eric,

    The form an be opened by using the External Codes menu items on several forms. It is at least available on several tabs of the form Address setup.

    Hi André,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    Ok, I see the button in the address setup form. This will create codes related to some of the address component. But how do I access codes related to a "legal entity" (tableId 41). I can't find the interface which will allow definition of company specific variables, like the "external codes" button in 2009 in Basic - Setup - Company information form.

    Hi Eric,

    The Company information is now included on the form Legal entities. However the external codes are not available here. Would you need to have the external codes available here? I think you can do integrations without it?

    Ah! So it is disconnected from the company in 2012! Thanks André.

    Yes, we do need the codes related to the company as we have many mods in 2009 which stores config data per company in this table. I`ll add a button to pop the form from the "legal entities" then.
