Microsoft Dynamics AX (Archived)

Cannot open Service COntrol Manager on Computer 'XXXX'. This operation might require other privileges.

We are trying to install AX2012 R3 RTM using an AlwaysOn Availability Group Listener. In case we use the Node name (on the Create New DB Page) it goes through other wise it will stop and show a ERROR for SQL Server on Pre-requisites (1)  Microsoft SQL Server Full-Text Search (2) SQL Server Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher Service Started.

In the error logs it will show inadequate permissions "This operation might require other privileges.". The account running setup is SQL Server Eng account & is a local admin. And we do see the services running under ServiceManager & Services.msc. Currently there's no DB on the server.

It will be very helpful if someone may please advise for next steps here.

    Please refer to Dynamics AX installation and configuration guide

    try to follow the instructions related to required privileges for installation accounts in prerequisite section

    Hey All - thanks for your response.

    This was happening on the SQL AOAG Listener Name, after this was changed to the WSFC cap. It went well.
