Good day all,
When D365 F&O rolled out dual currency recording for transactions, my understanding was that if the reporting currency and accounting currency were the same, no additional setup was required. We have 4 legal entities in which this is the case, both reporting currency and accounting currency as USD, and reporting currency is grayed out on the Ledger setup.
In two of the legal entities, all transactions are being recorded correctly using USD to populate both Amount fields in the general ledger. In the other two legal entities, only accounting currency is being recorded. This is causing us issues with consolidations, as we have a fifth legal entity that uses EUR for accounting and USD for reporting. Because 2 of the companies are recording nothing in the reporting currency field, we can't simply report off of that across all locations.
Is there a batch job or something that needs to be run in order to populate and turn on the dual currency recording in entities that were previously single currency?
