Auto-Numbering Solution for CRM 8.2 On-Premise

I've looked around for an auto-number solution for new records and all the solutions I've found are either for CRM V9.x, are no longer downloadable (codeplex), or just don't quite fit my needs.

I tried downloading the solution from Razwan but the email arrives without any link to download the solution.

I've tried auto-numbering with a realtime workflow in CRM, but the issue there is I can't have commas in the final ID added to the Contact record, so auto-numbering based on CRM Whole Number fields doesn't work well.

Any other ideas out there? Other solutions I could look into?
