5I need to add a new SharePoint site collection to our on-premise Dynamics CRM with SharPoint as the current site collection database is getting too big.
I get a (401) Unauthorized error when trying to add and validate after I add and activate a new SharePoint site collection.
I have seen the following steps listed as the solution to a bug/known issue in blogs a couple of years old:

My question is whether this is the final and only answer, or are there other options that have developed since?
A referral to good documentation on this issue and/ or adding a new SharePoint site collection would be helpful.
