The price level id is missing?

Hello All,

I'm trying to do a mass import products into a Price List with an Excel file. I'm getting an error that says

"An error has occurred. Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support."

and under More Information its telling me

"The price level id is missing".

Can anyone help out on this. My method so far has been to use a "Price List Item" template and fill in all the required columns:

Price List

Product

Unit

Quantity Selling Option

Pricing Method

Percentage

Rounding Policy

I then import it back in using the Import Wizard and I get the errors mentioned above.

    Hello Aileen,

Here is the data example. I'm using a template of type "Price List Item".

I'm trying to input 274 Price List Items (products) of this type.

    Import-Data.JPG

Here is the report I'm getting after using the Import Wizard.

    Import-Data.JPG

The successes are coming from the 3 Items that I input into the Price List Manually.

Yesterday I found the post you linked above, that doesn't seem to be my problem.

    Hello Daniel:

Try to add these two columns Amount and Discount List

No value in both of them.

Also make sure the Unit is right.

Do you have a Master Price List?

Also When you're looking at the import list look at the columns does it start with Col A.

I'm looking at your columns and it's starting with D. There might be unwanted Columns A-C

    that need to be deleted

    Damon,

    Thanks for the response.

I tried with and without Amount and Discount List being blank.

    Unit is correct.

I have a Master Product List that these Price Lists are pulling their List Price from, I have other Price Lists that are working fine and that have been imported the same way I've been trying. Thats whats really confusing me.

Column A-C are columns that are automatically put in whenever I export data from CRM. I've tried to import the file with and without those columns present.

Does anyone know what "Price Level ID" is?

    Daniel:

Price Level ID is a Primary Field.

    To All,

I had to mess around with the custom data mapping to get it to work.

Thanks for all of the help.

I am having the same issue, I've spent 3 days on it. I'm still learning how to work with "custom data mapping" if you recall anything to add for this detail it would be helpful

    Have you found any solution?

If not, try to edit column names in the Excel sheet this will Popup the 'Custom Data Mapping' page while importing and you can now map the correct fields and you should not get any error. It will get imported successfully.

I don't know if this will help you dear man, but I made an advanced localization with all the product items I needed, downloaded it via FetchXml, then went to XrmToolbox, and added the "pricelevelid" column, saved my result as a view in the system, and downloaded it again in Excel format, only then I could import it from the other side in CRM, hope this helps.
