Creating marketing form to update custom entity using dynamics 365

Posted on by 459

Hi,
i have a custom entity (subscriber). I want to create a marketing form to update a custom entity using D365 marketing.
Ex: subscriber is the custom and main entity used to collect data from external users.
Contact entity has look-up field (many to one relationship to subscriber entity)

When i try to create marketing form from Dynamics 365, it only gives the option to select "Only Contacts", "contacts and leads" and "Only leads" option. How i can select custom-entity to design the marketing form to create a new record or update an existing record.

Thank you,

    Hi Siva,

    Marketing form only allows users(both external/internal) to create new record or update existing record that match to form submitter, it is by design.

    As I described in thread "What is the different creating web page using portal and marketing pages", you could use entity form to collect subscriber record;

    then run a flow(when a subscriber is created/updated) to retrieve contacts whose fullname is equal to subscriber(form submitter) and set the contacts' lookup field to subscriber.

    Regards,

    Clofly
