Dear members,

Is there anyway to create a Purchase Order with zero cost for a service item in business central? Please let me know whether there is any standard functionality is available?

Hi, Yes. as long as the total amount is not negative, you can post whether you have negative/0 lines or not.

you could also put 100% discount on the purchase order line to make the cost zero. The field could be exposed via personalization if you don't see it.

Hello Mani,

If you have turned on the new sales pricing feature, you can easily set this up.

The service item should always be zero cost unless you have posted a purchase invoice with cost.

This will then update the item's last direct unit cost field where new documents refer to this for the direct unit cost.
