Sales order line explosion showing On-stock instead of a new Planned order

Hi guys,

I have a new sales order line which I need to produce in a new production order. the issue is that when I explode the line the system suggests that there is already on-stock instead of offering a new planned order.

In fact is is on-hand produced from other production and physical reserved to another sales order.

again your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi CBNestor,

Have you verified if the on-hand is really reserved for the other sales order as you mentioned? Have you set up master planning? Do you get a planned order if you run the master planning? You can also create a production order from the sales order line directly.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for your fast reply:

1. The on-hand quantity 30pcs is in effect physical reserved to another sales order COS-0098 RAFed from COP-00102 (snip down below).

2. The master planning is setup. Yes, we normally get explosions with Planned production orders and Purchase orders from BOM.

Except in this case; when the item we want to produce again is on stock.

3. Your are right we could make a direct production from sales line, however we would like to continue make explosions and get direct POs from BOM and finally understand why explosion is not working when they are reserved.

It is hard to tell what could be wrong here as there are several parameters and maybe a lot of inventory transactions for this item. Maybe it is caused by a bug. I don't have a working AX 2012 environment to be able to verify some technical details.

Have you checked on LCS issue search if there is a known issue with the explosion?

Hi Andre,

I am pretty sure you were right. I deleted the salesline, created again, made the explosion one more time and now is showing me full planned orders as normal.
