Direct delivery with warehouse management

Hi, we use R3, and items with a storage dimension that use warehouse management with warehouse, location, status and LP.

When we try to receive a PO linked to a SO with direct delivery checked box, we have an error on our PO and the item line : The storage dimension Warehouse is mandatory.
We use on our SO line a special Warehouse for direct delivery without warehouse management. If we try to use our normal warehouse, we can't save the SO because it expect a warehouse without warehouse management.

I think it's a bug. May be corrected with CU8 ? Who have the same issue ?

Hi Benoit,

The warehouse is always mandatory; even if you do a direct delivery. You can setup a special "direct delivery" warehouse where you don't enable the Warehouse management parameter. On the sales order, also the Inventory status is needed if the item is also used in your warehouse.

The Storage dimension group must be able to handle empty License plate, but this is already standard when you setup.

We use a special "direct delivery" without warehouse management, it's what we've done.

It's like the item's storage dimension group was used by the system instead of the special warehouse.

In the CU8 patch list, there is a lot bugs regarding direct delivery.

It's documented as a design limitation on LCS.

Your solution is in line with the suggestion.
