Credentials Issue: Dynamics AX 2012 R3 Azure

I am experiencing the same problem as a previously solved post https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/p/203093/526830

The problem is related to the fact that when you create a virtual machine for AX 2012 R3 VM from LCS the username and password is not provided to you, also, trying to reset the password via azure portal never completes.

The solution was for someone to send the password to the person who logged the previous post privately. I want to request the same but I believe there would be a better way to achieve this since others would have the same issue and duplicate posts would continue to happen.

Please assist, thanks.

    HI Junaid,

If you go to Cloud hosted environments, you should be able to view the password.

Thanks for the response , unfortunately all I see is this, and "login to trail experience" says "sorry, your trial environment is not available now. Please try again later"

    Hi Junaid1,

It is also not visible when you click "Full details"? Did you or someone else deployed this VM? Do you have the role Administrator or Contributor on this LCS project? Probably another person will have the required privileges.

    Hi Andre

I'm the only person using this VM, I just got a new company email and decided to sign it up for a Microsoft account and then the AX preview. However I do get permission errors when I try to access some LCS options. Maybe it is due to me needing some Microsoft support agreement, I am just using the trial subscription model.

    Hi Junaid,

I cannot verify this as our organization has a partner agreement. About a year ago I looked at the option to deploy a demo from Azure market place, but that still required a partnersource or customersource login.

Is your employer an AX partner or customer?

    Hi Andre

I am consulting at a company that is an AX partner, they were having issues granting me access to their installation for some integration work. I sought to use a trial version of AX on Azure as a quick way to explore AX at a database level, ideally I'd like to have a small AX sample database to view data and schema.

They have resolved the access issue and I am able to access it via the remote desktop app so this issue is not high priority. I am also able to access the AX preview with the password you sent me and it is fine for my needs. Based on my requirements of getting a simple database sample to work with , how should a person proceed ? an Azure preview does seem like overkill in my case.

Thanks for your assistance, you can mark this issue as resolved.

The access to an AX preview is linked to an organization (customer or partner) an individual can only get access to installation files with an MSDN subscription. Note that the MSDN subscription has not an option to use demo data.

    Dear Andre

I faced this issue while I subscripe  on azure by using Microsoft Azure Pass code.

Are this option valid to use AX7 on azure or what

    Hi Ahmed,

The original question was related to AX2012. Your question is about AX7. There are some questions with answers related to deployment of AX7 on this forum. Probably your find your answer on other questions like this one: community.dynamics.com/.../560894
