Error while posting Movement journal

Hi All,

When i will post the movement journal getting following error.

"Illegal quantity"

"The journal is not posted and update is canceled"

Please suggest,

How can i solve this.

Hi Edselv,

Please provide few more details or screenshot of the movement journal and transactions related to item, may be you are posting Negative qty, where there is no negative inventory is allowed.

Would you mind to share the screen of current stock for location you are trying to move the stock from and amount of stock you are trying to move?

Hi, Viesturs. I have the same issue as Edselv. For some items, i get the error of: "The journal is not posted and the update is canceled - Posting... Journal:XX... Voucher XX Line number 1 Illegal Quantity.

I get the same error message both for adjustment jour., transfer jour., and counting jour when trying to add qty to WH01.

Below i post a screenshot of the current On hand.

Du you have any sugestions?

Check the followings in invent transaction for the same item , inventory management > inquiries > transaction > transaction

1. Any inventory adjustment entry for the same item having negative qty in line

2. If this item is consumed in a production order picking list with having a setup of allowable negative qty

3. Remove reservations

Thank you, Mahim. The issue in our case was reservations. When we removed the Reservations, it worked fine.

EDIT 24.07.19:

The problem was unfinished picking lists, that created output orders (reservations). When the output order was removed, it was fine.
