Marketing Segment members not visible

Hi,

Our marketing people just started using the Marketing app, and they created a marketing list, but if they go to the members tab, they get the following error. This comes up even with an admin user:

The view is not available. Please contact your system administrator

I have seen a post from last year about the same problem, but could not find how to access the app designer or any of the other suggestions. Not sure if the suggestions I found are using the old or new app/interface.

Any indications from where I can start to check would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Martin

    Hello Martin,

I wanted to clarify where you are seeing this error.  If you are using the Marketing App, you would be using the Segment entity instead of the Marketing Lists.  That error that you receive is due to the "Segment Members" view being deactivated for the contact entity.  To activate the view, you have 2 options that you can do:

Option 1 From the Marketing App

    1. Navigate to the Settings (docs.microsoft.com/.../open-advanced-settings)

    2. Click on Views

    3. Scroll to or search for "Segment Members"

    4. Select the view and click on Activate:

Option 2 From the Advanced Settings in the CRM Default App:

    1. Click on the Gear icon in the Upper Right Hand corner and choose Advanced Settings.  This brings you to the Admin Settings for CRM

    2. Choose Settings -> Customizations -> Customize the System

    3. Expand Entities and expand Contacts

    4. Select Views and change the drop down to Inactive Public Views

    5. Activate Segment Members:

    6. After changing this setting, publish your customizations to have the change implemented.

    Hi Brad,

Going to advanced settings from the gear icon, takes me to the old admin interface. That is what I had tried before, but could not find the required setting there. However, clicking on the bottom left Marketing icon, and advanced settings from there, takes me to the screen in your screenshot and from there, we could activate the view. I can't believe I missed it.

    Many thanks for the help.
