Highlighting current row in a Scrolling Windows

Posted on by 20

I was curious if anyone has found a way to highlight a current row of a scrolling window. I have a scenario with a few different scrolling windows that have a parent child relationship. As the parent scrolling window is changed the children scrolling windows show related information. Since the row in the parent window is not highlighted in any way or does not gave an indicator it can be confusing to use the form as to which parent record the children windows are displaying. I am looking for some sort of way to use a marker or highlight the current record so that the record displays as selected until another one is selected. Thanks

It would be possible to highlight a current row with custom code.  They are methods such as placing a visual switch with a color image and a white image behind the fields. Making all the fields transparent background. Then using trigger on pre and post scroll window scripts to change the value of the visual switch.

Changing the field backgrounds does not work well as it causes all rows to change.

    Regards

PS: You could write this with Modifier to change the window and GP Power Tools to add the triggers.
