Hi all,
Suppose I have 8 indexes in one table.
1 index is PRIMARY1 index is CLUSTER
others 6 indexes are called ( Non primary or Non cluster index )?
Please give me more shed on this
Hi Arpan,
They would be non cluster indexes. Please check this post for more information regarding indexes in a table.
Hi @rp@n,
From the DB perspective, an index can be only clustered or non-clustered. There is no primary index, but the primary key constraint and it can be any unique index.
Thanks Gunjan and Sergri,
It means, others are called Non Cluster Index because there is no Non Ptimaey index concept.
Right?
You can call them non-unique indexes as well (since they are not unique). From SQL point of view they can be clustered or non-clustered only.
