Hi, I have the impression that Orders in D365 for Sales is the poor child of the family. I am looking for a way to print and send Sales orders to customers but I cant find it anywhere. Please can you help? Thanks. Patrick
Hello Patrick,
There are several ways to make your Sales Orders printable:
1. Word Templates - docs.microsoft.com/.../using-word-templates-dynamics-365
2. SSRS Reports - readyxrm.blog/.../
Please follow this link docs.microsoft.com/.../using-word-templates-dynamics-365.
Hi Patrick,
I am assuming you would want to use an OOB functionality. For this case you have two options;
1. Use Order report, you can save the report and send it to customer.
2. Create a Word template which can then be used for generating reports. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/using-word-templates-dynamics-365
It looks like you are looking for an automated process of exporting the D365 order (report/Word Template )and send this as PDF to the customer.
In this case, you can consider our packed solution Click2Export, which does the task of automating the process.
You can use this link for more details.
Thanks!
Thank you. Still, Sales orders cant be generated from Sales quote. There is a button to create invoice from Quotes but no orders. It is weird.
