GetLatest not overwrite local XPP file

Hi,

I was wondering if I change an XPP (a class code), and I did not check in my change, when I get latest from Azure DevOps, should it be overwritten?

I test that, it seems not overwritten at all. How can I restore the change back to Azure DevOps version then?

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

Just right click your class in VS Pending changes list, select "Undo" and after the undo is done, get latest.

It shouldn't be overwritten. In fact, it's common to have pending changes and use "Get latest" to get changes from other developers. It would be bad if you lose your work by doing that.

If nobody else changed objects you're working on, they're not affected at all. If there are changes, you'll get an option to choose what to do (typically merge your changes and changes done by others).

Keep in mind the XPP files are temporary files used for the editing experience. The actual code files are XMLs, and the XML files is what you check in/out.

So it's normal that the XPP files wouldn't be touched. But if you do get latest, then open a class (i.e. XML), then the XPP should get updated by the tooling at that point.
