We have an issue where when running a single instance of auto release to warehouse many waves will block one another. This happens about 20% of the time from what can be gathered from the info log. We have tried experimenting with the wave lock time out, but it does not seem to have much effect. I was under the impression auto release was running as a single thread. So my assumption is one wave must finish or error before another can begin? I have tried to debug the wave lock manager but obviously when debugging only a few at a time it never happens. Can any one shed some light on to how this could happen? The only suggestion that was ever made to me was that some how SQL was not committing the transactions as fast as AX was sending them and since the wave lock is held in SQL we get blocking.
