update the sales invoice date as back date

Hi,

End user asked system admin to post sales order invoice as there was some issue from his end.  By mistake administrator posted invoice on today's date, but it was to be posted back dated. Can you please let me know at how many places (tables) date needs to be updated in ax 2009?

Invoice is for the items sold to customers so let me know in case inventory module also needs to be updated for this date anywhere.

    Hi,

    I would not recommend trying to update the data in the tables with the correct date. The GL, inventory and AR modules are impacted.

    I would instead post a credit note to cancel the invoice and post a new invoice with the correct date.

    hi Caroline,

    i have question related to the same functionality.

    i need to send a back dated invoice to a customer by giving a date while creating the Packing Slip and Invoice need to take the packing slip date.

    Could you please Advise!
