How to disable user presence?

Hello,

Following a recent update to Dynamics we have now started to see users presence i.e. Available, Away etc.

Is there a way to disable this feature as it's causing us a bit of a problem with changing the owner for cases, orders, opportunities etc.

Before when we hovered over the name we'd get a cross which would remove the user and then we'd just search for the new user.

Now the cross doesn't appear and we have to use the advanced option, or scroll down the list for ages or use the 'Assign' button.

I have seen some articles where they advise to disable 'Skype presence' however, I cannot see this option in the environment settings.

Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Kamilcmm,

    1.Now the cross doesn't appear.

Yes, this is a known bug, Engineering are working on a fix which currently, and updating the deployment according to the region.

You can open a ticket with Microsoft to find out the expected fix date for your region:

Get Help + Support - Dynamics | Microsoft Docs

Now, you have to continue to use the lookup advanced or 'Assign' button as workarounds

Also, you can try to use other Workarounds:

    (1) Use keyboard: extend header section, press TAB to select the owner and press DEL.

    (2) you can move the Owner field into the form:

2.disable 'Skype presence' however, I cannot see this option in the environment settings

Effective July 2019, Skype integration feature with customer engagement apps has been deprecated and is no longer supported after July 31, 2021

This deprecation includes presence indication in hover cards, lookup fields, and lookup columns in grids.

    3.Disable user presence:

pp users, such as the record owner, as well as the users appearing in grids and lookups are displayed with their picture and online status.

This feature is now available on all model-driven apps and cannot be disabled.
