Released Products Usage

ReportReport

I am trying to write a report in Atlas 6.0 showing the number of times each Release product has been ordered in each legal entity. I'm not sure i'm coming in from the right angle but cant seem to find any link between the released product (InventTable.ItemId) to the PurchTable or anywhere else in the system I could pull a usage count.

There's a period statistics table in released products but it seems to be pulling through temporary data which isn't held in any static tables in AX and as such can't be pulled through into Atlas.

Could anyone advise or recommend anything they've done for a report like this or a different angle to come in to look for this information. In short we want to review the level of orders on each item so we can avoid having a stagnant product list with a lot of products which aren't being used.

    Hi Bruce,

purchased items information is located in PurchLine(Table)

Confirmed Purchases are located in PurchLineAllVersions. if you have to take data of PurchLineAllVersions, you can join/link that with VendPurchOrderJour (which is header of purchase confirmations)

Joining InventTable.ItemId to PurchTable  is not feasible directly without PurchLine

    Sohaib,

    Thanks for this.

I had a link to the purchline table but the issue with it was the report will only pull through Items which have had orders raised against them. If there are items in the system which have never been used we'd like to clean these up. That's where I'd hoped to pull information from TmpStatPer.NumberofPurchases as it would have shown the items with zero transactions against them. Guessing there is no way of linking this table with the InventTable? I've checked through the AOT and can't see any logical links.

    Hi Bruce,

All item transactions are located in InventTrans(Table). So if you want to know whether an item has been used or not, you can make use of InventTrans Table.

    InventUsed.png

Having no records in InventTrans mean no transactions occurred in system for that item.

Having no Purchases for an item, does not refers to "no transactions happened for that item". Because there are many transaction types, which inventory model can use.
