Saved Quick Journal not showing in Smartlist

New to the forum and can typically find my answer before jumping on here and asking. Anyway, I just stumbled upon the quick journal entry and thought I would try it out to see if it would save me any time. I followed all steps per my research, but rather than post I just saved it. Previously I used general and recurring JE and would save everything in a batch and run a smartlist of unposted journal entries by account to verify everything was entered correctly before I posted. When I setup my quick journal and saved it and ran my unposted journal entry smartlist, it was not in there. I'm assuming quick journals have to be posted, but I am sure there is some work around, right?

You are welcome to Dynamics GP community

Actually, if you are looking in the "Account Transactions" smart lists, quick journals will not be retrieved since this one retrieves work, posted and history journal entries in (GL10000, GL20000 and GL30000). Which is why you can check an un posted journal entry before posting.

You can simply create a customized smart list which retrieves your saved quick journals from (GL10100 and GL10101). In case you are on GP2013 SP2 or R2, you can use the Smart List Designer to accomplish this smoothly.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

If you want to see the Quick Journal Entries in SmartList, you need to post those quick journal entries. Otherwise it won't show on the default SmartList.

If you want to see the saved Quick Journal Entries in SmartList, you need to create a custom SmartList (As per Mr.Mohmoud AlSaadi suggestion) with using the tables(GL10100 and GL10101) via either in SmartList Builder or SmartList Designer (This is only available on GP 2013).

    Hope this helps!!!

Thank you for the quick response. I figured it would have something to do with how my smartlist is setup. Unfortunately, I do not have the access to change it at the moment, so I will just have to bring it up, since it seems like quick journals might save us some time each month. For the time being general and recurring journals will have to work. Thank you again.
