Wave Label printing and Containerization methods in Wave template

Hi,

I have stock at BULK sitting in boxes and eaches at Pick Zone.

I am using containerisation method in Wave template for automatic packing of stock basis carton and item cubic and I don't want to repack stock sitting at bulk (as it is already packed or in boxes)

I am also using Wave Label Printing method for getting labels printed upfront (prior to sales picking begins)

When I run Wave template then Wave labels are generated (basis unit conversion) for all Qty in order whereas I want Qty (i.e. eaches which I have configured to undergo containerization) should not get wave label id generated because labels for Qty (containerized) should be separate or according to no. of cartons required to pack it.

So, in short - I want Wave Labels generation to be in accordance to Qty in order which is already packed (boxes at bulk) and Qty in order (eaches at pick) which will under go containerisation ( or basis system suggested cartons)

Please advise

Have you tried removing the wave label link on unit sequence group from each, only leaving it for boxes?

    Hi Ivan,

I have only set Wave Label type for boxes (not for each) in unit sequence group.

    Also,

I have read your document (where you explained wave label printing without containerization) in one of forum and I have also referred to MS docs link - docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-wave-label-printing

As per MS docs (Scenario 2) when you apply containerization then Wave label record should not be created as container ID itself would be a label and I am hoping it would get printed out as well.

I am using single Wave template where after allocate wave, I have included containerization method then comes Create Work method and then Wave label printing method

I have an order with Qty 36 and my item packing qty (35 ea per box) so in this case I expect that basis unit conversion 1 wave label to be printed for Qty 35 and for remaining Qty of 1 (which is undergoing containerisation) no wave label record should be created (but it does create a record for it and that's what the issue I am trying to resolve)

    do you have any suggestion?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Thanks

If you did not set a Wave label type for eaches, I do not see how it would create a label for that.

Maybe create a good repro (as it's hard to judge based on the few pieces here) and log a support request so we take a closer look, maybe it's a bug?
