CRM to AX License requirements

Hi All.

I have a prospect who has a contact centre which takes bookings for jobs (Sales orders).  If we use the new Flow connector for Dynamics 365, what license impact does this have?

Does every user in the contact centre need a license for AX? (operations license- Enterprise Plan1)

High level process - a person calls to log a job.  The phone operator (who has the Business Plan 1 license) will check the stock and price, and place the order if accepted.  The team license will allow them to read the product/price/stock on hand, but what happens when they push the order?  The old connector doesn't need a license for this, but not sure about Flow.

Any ideas?

    Good question!

This has to be clarified, but I'm under the assumption that the Common Data Service should carry data between the application without requiring the input user to have the access level required.

I also would read in to the fact that they have reduced the team member licenses not to be able to input sales order directly into Operations to be a sign that this function would be better suited in Sales.

The charts that they shown in the licensing presentations where they have different bobbles of applications that join together would directly suggest that a user conclave on one of the applications should be sending data to the other application. If not... It does not make any sense to show it that way.

However... Licensing being the fogged mountain path that it is it would be wise to check in with Microsoft for an official conclusion to this quest for knowledge. It could be quite expensive taking a wrong turn here...
