Sync from outlook to aX

Is there a way to sync a new appointment or task from Outlook to AX.  Most workers create these in Outlook, not AX.  If there is, then how can we get the related customer so if we went to all customers - activities, it would be related/  Thanks  2012 r3 cu8

    So you are saying the integration from Outlook to AX is possible only by the exchange method?  Can you link an appointment to an AX customer?  Also, will this work on a terminal server?  Thanks!

    If you create an appointment in Outlook, you wish to sync that appointment to a customer in AX.  This way the user does not have to go into AX and create a new activity for the same appointment they just created in Outlook.  Make sense?

    Synchronization of appointments is supported, but I don't know what you want to do with customers.
