Hi,

Account name were appended to Contact name. Can you help as to why this happened? This never happened before.

    can you post a screenshot?

    did you check if you have some workflows activated that can lead to this kind of changes?

    I am so sorry i will not be able to post a screenshot as it is the details of of our customers. This is happening to few contacts, not all contacts.

    I have also checked the workflows. None of them are related to a contact or an account.

    then how you know that some of the users manually did the change? did you have audit enabled? did you check the modified on and modified by fields?

    This happened with 50 contacts and i had discussed with the owners (this happened to 2 users-owners) of these contacts and they did not manually make the changes.

    Audit is enabled for the contact full name so that this field combines and shows the contact's first and last names and also that the full name can be displayed in views and reports.

    Also auditing has not been enabled for all Entities and the organization.

    Modified on and Modified by fields has been checked.

    If there were no workflows, my guess is this is probably caused during data import.

    Were the contacts imported ? if so check the data import file.

    Thanks for the suggestion, there were no contacts imported.

    is there any other possible cause for this issue?
