How do you categorize opportunities

I saw, that D365 contains an entity "categories". Can this be used, to categorize leads and opportunities? I found not yet any relation for this use case but expect, that many users have the same needs.

Hello,

You can create a category record to associate it with opportunity entity records by using relationships.

You can refer to below steps:

1. Create a new lookup column in Opportunity entity to build a 1:N relationship between Category and Opportunity and add this column to Opportunity form

2. Create a category record for opportunity

3. Create an Opportunity and select the created category for it

4. Now you can see the opportunity record in Category for Opportunities
