Question from a customer. I know there is a lot of posts around this topics since few years but no one can really help me to be clear on possibilities.
Context : purchase order created from MRP.
In order to optimize transportation cost, a specific vendor must deliver raw material only once a week, on Tuesday (eg, during December, vendor is able to deliver/come on our site only on 01st, 8th, 15th, 22th or 29th).
Morever, we have to group required quantities per month.
So first, I will apply a coverage group set up with "period = 30 days" in order to group requirements.
Then, do I have to set up a calendar into the vendor form ?
- How ? I can't let only Tuesdays as open ... Vendor calendar isn't a delivery calendar.
- I don't think so cause that way we also impact Order date from MRP calculation and that is not good.
I'm thinking about the delivery schedule feature in purchase order line but :
- I can't set up something to translate my rule : "only Tuesday" (I also thought about note an vendor form just as an information but I can't see it in the purchase order)
- I have to repeat action line by line ... and it could be long,tedious, boring and source of error
Have you already met this kind of user case and how did you manage it ?
