Is anyone else seeing issues with line spacing in email designer?
For example, I can have 2, 3 or 4 sections in an email - all set to 1.25 line spacing. However on multiple email providers such as Outlook and Gmail the spacing is not uniform throughout the email.
I've seen weird line spacing appear in real-time journey emails, even when the settings look fine in the designer. What usually happens is the email builder applies the right spacing in the preview, but when the email hits different clients like Outlook or Gmail, things get messy, sometimes extra space, sometimes sections too close together.
Outlook tends to ignore some CSS, especially if you use custom fonts or copy-paste text from Word or Docs. Even the same line height can look totally different depending on the email client.
Check your HTML source in the email editor. Sometimes, inline styles (style=line-height:1.25) get stripped or rewritten by the builder, so the email clients fall back to their own defaults. Try not to mix font sizes and types within the same section. Even small differences can break the spacing in Outlook.
If you really need pixel-perfect, the safest bet is to set line-height on every text block manually and test in as many email clients as you can.
