Good morning,
i just started with Dynamics for Sales and Service. I hope someone of you can support me with the following case:
If the customer buys a machine it gets the name Cxxx, like C555. So this is a unique machine and i plan to connect potential cases to this machine (order).
This would be a great benefit to see the history of cases on the machine level and not on the customer level, because one customer can have a lot of machines.
Would be great to get some instruction how i can do something like this.
Thank you!
Dears,
thank you very much for your support. This was exactly what i was searching for. I solved it with the lookup solution.
Thank you very much!
Hi Marco,
In regards to your concern, you may create 1:N relationship between Order & Case. To create relationship you want to create Case type lookup field in Order entity. so when you create order you can link particular case in that order by created lookup field.
To create lookup field, refer below link:

I hope it helps,
Thanks.

Hey Marco - If I understand it correctly , you would like to have two entities ( 1 for machines and 2 for orders) and you want to see all the cases (orders) on the machine level. Did you try explore the Product entity and Orders to see if that can be customized based on your business requirement ?
