Generating new batch number as user click on new Button on batch window

Dear Experts,

I want the above requirement, as a user clicks on the NEW button of Batch form it will generate a new batch number. I already highlighted it with a red color.

    hi Shabir,

    If you want auto-number directly on the form, it would require customization and you need to create and use a new number sequence. Please know that this is going to be a complete customization. However the functionality already exists on the basis of batch number. See link below to get an idea:

    As we are receiving our items, meanwhile we create the batch number on the batch window first, then we assign it to the receiving inventory. For example, I enter the 6RM00806 batch number manually as clicked on new batch number. Now I want as I clicked on button  6RM00807 should be generated automatically.

    One thing more the button type is the "command button".

    Normally the item batch number allocated at the time of receiving the item.
    also system allows you to assign batch number automatically or you can assign batch numbers manually.
    So what is the your basis of assigning batch number.can you explain simple scenario ?
