Dear All,
Let suppose, we process 10Kg of chicken and cuts it into pieces using process manufacturing module in AX 2012. Now we have 10 kg of chicken cuts with a production batch number. This will be packed in trays of 1 and 2Kg approx. respectively. We want to barcode these trays with production batch number and weight that each tray carries.
Does AX help producing barcodes for goods produced as described above, if yes how?
Shall weighing scale be integrated with AX and AX will fetch weight from scale and produce item barcode at run-time?
How this can be achieved or is done in a production scenario? Any idea!!
Your suggestion/guidance in highly appreciated.

Whichever devices that comprises OPOS driver implementation can be integrated with AX. for example weighing scale, MCR, camera etc. IT needs a customization in production life cycle. I havent done before, As it looks it can be achieved through generating a barcode at runtime.
