Financial tags on free text invoices

Hello All,

I am hoping to use financial tags on the free text invoice and found that its not yet enabled for FTI. (Financial tags - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn)

Contradicting to above link I found another MS link which states that FTI do have financial tags available. (Use financial tags to display free text invoice descriptions - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn)

I was not able to find anything related to Financial tags on the free text invoice as per the second link and hence I am bit confused as to whether MS has enabled Financial tags for FTI or not.

Any help will be appreciated.

What F&O version are you using? I see the FTI Financial tag fields in 10.0.39. Here and on the Financial tags Fasttab on the invoice header view.

Hi Vaibhav,

Frank is correct. There is currently a preview available with expanded support for Financial Tags. You can read more in the new release plans: Dynamics 365 & Power Platform - 2024 release wave 1 plans - Dynamicspedia

Documents supporting the accounting distributions will get support for Financial Tags. Free text invoices are one of the documents with accounting distributions. It is expected to have the feature fully available for production environments in July 2024.

Hi,

To add to what Frank mentioned, ensure that you have the below mentioned feature enabled for FinTag. Financial tags should be enabled, if you are in a lower version and if this feature needs to be turned on manually.

Hi,
As mentioned below, you need to check the version of your environment. My environment is 10.0.38, which also has a financial tag field.

Hi Thank you all for your responses. I am using version 34 so need to upgrade. Will upgrade and check. Will keep everyone posted if I am able to get the same. This will be huge saving for us. Cheers..
