Hi all,

I have used the AXBuild command several times to compile the complete application. Today I started it after installing a hotfix in a test environment (AX 2012 R2 CU7). I have noticed a deadlock message in one of the worker sessions. The other sessions don't have the error. It looks like it will continue, but this test system is not configured for high performance so it is a bit slow. I wonder if it will complete sucessfully.

Has anyone seen this error before and did encounter problems afterwards?

    No, haven't seen anything like that but to be honest I never followed the messages that closely.

    Could you try to run Optimize-AXModelStore in DAX PowerShell and test AxBuild again?  Will it still deadlock?

    Also does table FiscalDocumentFormat_BR appear in the AxCompileAll.html log file after this deadlock?

    Thanks for your reply. I'm not able to check now. I can look at it tomorrow again. The compilation was not finished when I left the office.

    There was a very bad setup of the SQL server. The compile did not complete it just took ages. So the compilation was cancelled. E.g. the TempDB was not configured correctly , there was too less memory available and some more... :(

    That caused a huge performance issue on this AXbuild. Rerun with other hardware and configuration settings seemed to pass this all.

    Unfortunately I was not able to check results of the compilation. It is all OK now.

    I still wonder if anyone has seen a similar message and could share some experience as well.

    Hello André

    I got this error in CU7 Demo environment (Contoso) i downloaed from MS. Expected that it should work smoothly... Noticed that memory usage is 96%  - similar symptoms that you. Currently I haven't done detailed research. Will try to kill the process and start it all over :)

    Hi Atis,

    Check the available memory and number of cores before you start the axbuild. It is running quite smoothly when you have 12GB or more memory. If the memory is low, you can consider also reducing the number of workers.
