How to set default value for a field on a form?

Hi,

I am trying to set default value for some of the fields on my Entity form.

I am able to set the default values for Option set type of fields, but not for other fields (such as, Whole Number, etc).

Do I need to write Java Script for this? or if there is any out of box support for this?

Thanks

    Thanks Rahul,

Yes, I am using CRM 2016 Online, and I could do this using Business Rules.

    Thanks
