Sales order - Picking list

(0) ShareShare

I have created a SO with a single item and then confirmed. Now, when I am trying to generate picking list or that order, the button is disabled.

Any idea about this? Is the button enabled based on certain conditions?

    Hi Rohan,

What is the Order type on the order header? If it is 'Journal', change it to 'Sales order'. And maybe change the related parameter in the Accounts receivable parameters.

    Hi Terry,

The order type is set as Sales. By the way, which parameter are you are you referring to under AR parameters?

    Dear Rohan,

Terry is talking about AR parameter sales order type.

Try to confirm it again. But check again if you have post picking list already. System disable it after posting.

Check there is not already a pick against it.

Check it is not on credit hold.

    Hi Rohan,

As Prashant and Steven have said, you cannot post a picking list again if one is already active. To check if a picking list has already been posted, from the order line do Inventory -> Output order. If you get a 'Create inventory order' dialogue box, there is no active picking list. If you get a form that shows you one or more Output orders, you have already posted a picking list.

Other reasons that will cause the 'Picking list' button to be greyed out:

The order contains lines only for Service (non-inventory) type items. Typically, these items will have an Item Model Group on which 'Stocked product' is not ticked, and will have a Product type of 'Service'.

The order lines (which contain items that are stocked items) have a quantity of zero.

You're using AX 2012 R3, and the Call center functionality, and you have enabled 'Order completion'. If this is the case, on the Sales order list page the 'Do not process' column will be ticked.

I can't think of anything else! Oh, hold on. Can you give yourself 'System administrator' permissions, to test if it is security related?
