Best Option for multi option and workflows

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice to see if there are any options available that I may not have thought of for the below problem....

We have a number of different business units that we would like to know if there's potential cross selling available when adding a new opportunity.

We will add the new opportunity and a field will be available to select one or a number of different business units.

I thought that the Multi-Option field had solved all my problems as it does exactly what I need it to however it doesn't appear within SSRS reports (we've managed to get it to work within power bi) and workflows don't work.

Is there any option available that would suit our above challenge ?  or a way to make the multi-option field work within the SSRS reports or workflows?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated and will hopefully end me banging my head against a brick wall!!

Thank you!!  :)

Currently we cannot use Multi-Select Option Set fields in SSRS Reports as this is a limitation of the Multi-Select Option Set field type.
As a workaround, you could copy the Multi-Select Option Set selected values to a text field using a Plugin/JavaScript and then use the text field in your SSRS report or your workflows etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

RE: Best Option for multi option and workflows

    Hi Eilidh32,

Workflows are not able to use MultiSelect Option Sets as conditions or part of the create/update step. MultiSelect Option Sets can be used as entry criteria to trigger a workflow.
MultiSelect Options Sets aren’t available for use in SSRS reports.

They both are limitations of the Multi Option Set field type, you can refer following links for more limitations about it:

So you could create a new text field and use flow/js to copy the value of MultiSelect Option field to a text field, then use the text field in your SSRS report.

    Using flow to replace workflow:
