AOT - Dragging Forms Under Privileges

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm working in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 - AOT

I'm attempting to add a form item under a privilege. When I dragged the form item to the desired privilege, I got the blocked symbol. How can I get around this - so that I can add the form to the privilege? Attached below are screenshots for visualization. The first is a screenshot of an example privilege i'm working with, where i'm trying to drag the form. The second screenshot shows what i'm referencing to when I say "form".

I am pretty much sure there is display menu item you are using to open form.  please add that display menu item in Entry Points. if you didn't create display menu item yet then create it first set your form name in object properties.

How is the form opened if there is no menu item for that?

If it's a form that you have developed, you need to create a menu item, too.

The form I want is not available in entry point format, hence trying to drag the form.

Please drag the display menu item of the form in entry point with you required format instead of dragging of form in entry point...

    Hi amymx,

If you want to give access to the form so user can open it you need to add menu item that opens this form to "Entry Points" node. There is also "Permissions" node where you have to add the form if you want to add access to some form controls.
